Spices

Premium Spices from Sri Lanka

At Hands Kegalle, in cooperation with Green Nordic, we focus on natural, high-quality spices grown and sourced directly from the regions of Sri Lanka where climate, soil, altitude, and traditional farming methods create exceptional raw materials.

Sri Lanka is internationally known for producing some of the world’s finest spices. The island’s tropical climate, mineral-rich soil, mountain rainfall, warm ocean air, and fertile landscapes create ideal conditions for spices with deeper aroma, stronger essential oils, richer color, and more refined flavor profiles.

Our spices are cultivated in traditional farming areas where generations of local knowledge and careful harvesting techniques help preserve natural quality and authenticity.

At the same time, we believe premium products should also create positive local value. Through close cooperation with local farmers, families, and communities, we aim to contribute beyond sourcing alone — supporting long-term relationships, local employment, knowledge sharing, and economic contribution to the communities surrounding the farms and production areas.

Our goal is not only to deliver premium spices, but also to help strengthen sustainable local development around the people behind the products.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Grown in the Humid Tropical Regions of Sri Lanka

Our Ceylon cinnamon is cultivated in warm tropical regions with stable humidity, regular rainfall, and fertile soil conditions that help produce the delicate bark and naturally sweet aroma that true Ceylon cinnamon is known for worldwide.

The slow-growing environment and traditional harvesting methods create cinnamon with thin, soft layers and a naturally refined flavor profile.

Unlike common Cassia cinnamon, true Ceylon cinnamon contains naturally low levels of coumarin, making it a preferred choice for regular use.

At Hands Kegalle, in cooperation with Green Nordic, we work closely with trusted local farmers and producers in Sri Lanka to ensure authentic origin, responsible sourcing, and stable premium quality.

We believe strong cooperation with local communities creates better products, stronger relationships, and long-term sustainability for everyone involved.

Part of our ambition is to contribute more directly to the local communities surrounding the farms through cooperation, local economic support, and reinvestment that can help create opportunities, stability, and development over time.

Every product reflects the natural environment where it is grown — and the people behind it.
